Hand Shaped Mini Simmons
By: Daryl Stroebel
I shaped this mini simons out of a flat, 80mm thick polystyrene block and installed my own ply stringer by glueing and clamping it together.
I then hand-shaped the entire design with no templates, shaped the wooden keel fins, sealed the blank with epoxy and resin tinted with glitter. I also hand painted the designs on myself.
The board was laminated using off cuts from six ounce cloth which required a lot of sanding. The board goes extremely well if I must say so myself.
